I am convinced that anybody, anywhere, anytime, looks cooler on a snowboard! Not that I'm anygood, but I have lots of fun with it!
Boards I've ridden:
* Hauser: I learned on an old board by Hauser called "The Fat Chick". Stiff as all get out, broken bindings, and terrible boots. But, it's what I learned on!
* Arbor: Arbor makes great boards, and has breat customer service!
Heritage: My first Arbor was a "Heritage" 154, a little bit short but a great board. One of the screw inserts stripped out of the board, and John at Arbor got me a new 2004 board, in 2003!
Draft: The replacement board was called Draft. I've only ridden it a couple times, but it is just as sweet as the Heritage, even more so. It's almost like it knows what mistake I'm gonna do next, and compensates for it!
* Palmer: Got a great E-Bay deal on a 2002/3 Honeycomb 162. Light weight, lots of "pop" and nice n long. So much different than the Arbor. A lot smoother, especially on the rough stuff.
I live in the mid-west so there's not a whole lot of elevation to ride. The place we go is pretty good though.
Paoli Peaks brags about their 300' vertical drop, which aint' much. But they do a great job of keepin the place interesting.
