A shoe box full of film from my seven month tour of
Mexico & Central America, a journal of postcards & bus
tickets, plus film containers full of volcanic soil
souvenirs from each of my climbs.

As a language sheet of common travel phrases was
very handy while in China, here is a glimpse of
1 of the 2 pages of Spanish phrases I carried
with me while traveling.

Mmmmmmm ... beer.

The fellow to introduce me to Spanish pop-rock music, Guatemalan artist
Ricardo Arjona. El Problema caught my ear in a Mexico City cd shop
and nearly had me in tears by song's end. Imagine my luck during the last
month of my tour to find him playing live in Zacatecas. Shelling out $90
CAD I bought a 6th row concert ticket to the show: this is the ticket.

This is also the only concert I have attended where girls asked me
for my autograph and photo.
