One of the most anticipated moments of my life. For years I had been planning to return to China with Shanghai as my "cherry on top". Due to my travel itinerary to see the north of China during the summer months, the previous two visits to Shanghai were quick, about seventeen days in total. This time around I planned to spend a full three month visa in one place only -- to saturate myself with the sights and sounds of the city. This picture is taken at the Shanghai Railway Station, greeting all those who arrive by rail.
