With the completion of the Three Gorges Project and a huge water reservoir as a result of the dam, an estimated two million people will be re-located along the Yangtze. Upriver from the dam project are new cities like this one being constructed from scratch. This particular site is found outside the current city of YunYang, and is one of the largest re-location projects I visited. During my stroll through the site I counted some 58 construction cranes.
