On October 5, 1502 Columbus and crew visited The Bocas del Toro archipelago,
a cluster of 9 islands, 51 named cayes and another 200 unnamed islets. During
my stay here I took a six hour trek along Bastimentos island, along the empty
beaches of the north shore to the Guaymi Indian village of Salt Creek.
