At the end of rafting the river, day fifteen, we met a family living in the sticks. We gave them the raft plus two 16-guage shotgun cartridges in exchange for some platano and papayas.
One of the girls had a two-week-old pet squirrel-monkey she let me play with. In every picture I snapped his facial expression is one of "Waaaaa, let me out of here!" The third and final picture is of the family home, complete with the artistic ambitions of the kids scrawled on the side of the house.
