Cerro Fitz Roy

As part of a trek to see mountain Fitz Roy I scrambled 700 meters to the top of Cerro Madsen (1806m).

Picture 1 is looking up at the crux of the scramble.

Picture 2 is looking down at a glacier tongue.

Picture 3 is me peaked on Cerro Madsen with Fitz Roy in the background. As a note of interest: while Everest has been summited by 2238 individuals as of 2004 (1148 of them since 1998), Fitz Roy may only be successfully ascended once a year.

Picture 4: looking down at the trekking viewing area and glacial lakes.
