Logan's Run has been adapted many different times, including twice in comic book format. The first adaptation was by Marvel Comics in 1977 printed in a five-issue serialization of the MGM film version. This was followed by two more issues featuring new adventures of Logan. Although bylined as co-author of the novel, William F. Nolan had no input into this series. MGM forced Marvel to stop this series after issue #7 telling them that they had rights only to the film version and could not legally continue beyond the movie.
