Winner of the Edgar Allan Poe Award from the Mystery Writers of America, William F. Nolan's contributions to the mystery genre have been prolific. His body of work has included definitive work on Dashiell Hammett, the hard-boiled space investigator series "Sam Space," and his latest work in the mystery field is a series of thrillers set in 1930's Hollywood starring the "Black Mask Boys" Raymond Chandler, Dashiell Hammett and Erle Stanley Gardener who function as amateur detective's in Nolan's noir trilogy.
