Taken in mid-April 1969, probably at Hill 10 just after we were pulled of off Oklahoma Hills.

Mike Weaver, who joined us at this time, told me that when he and the other "new guys" were shocked at our appearance.  I imagine we stunk to high heaven also.

Mark Romander.

Not sure where this was taken.

Mark lives in Utah where he works as a cowboy, which, according to Frank Rodriquez, was all he ever wanted to be.

Ssgt Harry Leaman.  Harry was our acting Gunnery Sgt. from about September until January or so.

After his career in the Corps he worked for a school district in Rhode Island  for several years.

He now does close-up magic.

Given the Christmas tree this was probably taken at the Rock Crusher, since that is where we spent the holidays.

I remember Christmas Eve.  All over the place Marines wandered around waving bottles of whiskey at each other yelling, "Merry Christmas."
