| OK, now
for the promised UsualSuspect house. I thought that as
long as I am inviting you into my home, you should know a
little more about me. You know I can get long-winded so
grab a cup of whatever, light em up if you got em ... sit
back ... or just jump to the pic if you really
don't want to hear my jibberish. We bought this handi-man special 6 years ago after we got married. Big change as it was just my daughter and me in a small apartment for a long time before that. All the rooms were renovated (it was such a mess!!) but the bedrooms keep changing as our lives change. My poor daughter has been switched all around and this summer she decided to move in with friends in an apartment. She comes home just about every day and looks longingly at her old room (now my computer room haha!!). I was going to start with a shot of me greeting you at the door ... but the Goths came ... so you already know what they look like. I really do have a fountain in my front garden. Yesterday I was so thrilled to find the new planter boxes at Sim Indulgence as they are more like mine. The front deck is raised a bit, but can't do a few stairs. The fence is chain link, but I liked the sims wood better. The trees are huge maple trees and just about block the left side. |
On to the backyard. I have a small vegtable garden (dead right now of course) with herbs. The sunflowers on the other side do well until the squirrels discover them. The play set is really a plastic fort with a small slide. Jack were really love the sims one! |

| Living/Eating
areas. I came pretty close with the kitchen stuff. The
dining room is out of skew a bit. The dining table is
octagon with chairs on 4 sides. Missing would be my
family pictures on the walls and on the buffet. We have an entertainment center in the living room (not that big screen one!!) with our TV, DVD, VCR and stereo stuff. Right now the glass doors on it are duck taped as my 3 year old loves to play with the controls. There are usually more toys all over also. |
My room
and the small bathroom. One of the reasons we are selling
is the lack of bedroom/storage space and having just one
bathroom. Missing is the coat closet, writing desk in the dining room, pantry in the laundry room and dog bed. I have the a linen closet in the hall and came close to what my bathroom actually looks like. My bedspread is brown and peach ... so this is close. Missing also here would be my husbands clothes all over the floor and various junk of mine on top of the dresser. I really do have a dreamcatcher on the bedroom window. I am prone to bad dreams and my husband got that for me long ago. |

| Next we
have the boys room. I have a crib/baby in it to represent
Joey (he'll be one next week). But, I could not leave him
out of this family so he's the one on the right. Just
imagine him much shorter ... and bald. Jack, my three year old, does have wonderful blonde curls. We cut them - they come back. Adorable if I say so myself. The rabbit on the small dresser is named "Rat." He has been Jack's best friend and constant sleep/travel companion for two years now. |
Last ... a
typical Sunday morning here. I creep out of bed while the boys are still sleeping to get my sim fix. Keeping me company in the room are my parakeets (Fuey and Houdini). My dog Cassidy is in the back yard barking to come back in. He is a black and white border collie. Also ... here is my husband's typical response to finding me hoggng the computer again. Hope you enjoyed my little tour. |
