I found the remainder of the three families that traveled together in winter of 1778 arriving in early 1779 in Navarro County, Texas from Cass County, Illinois on the 1880 Census for Navarro County, Texas
Nelson and Hannah Kimbrell are not on the 1880 Navarro County, Census. I suspect that is because they had moved back up to Cass County, Missouri the previous year or early in 1880. Benjamin and Catherine Kimbrell are on the census, apparently living adjacent to the James Davis and John Davis families they had traveled with from Illinois. Their daughter Jane or M Jane Kimbrell is listed with the Benjamin Kimbrell family.
