Mirilda Jane Kimbrell was the second wife of John Barton Davis and the sister of Fannie Clemintine (Kimbrell)Davis who married John Barton Davis older brother James Pope Davis. Mirilda Jane Kimbrell and Fannie Clemintine Kimbrell were sisters of Nelson L Kimbrell who married Hannah Davis the sister of James P Davis and John Barton Davis. All three of the families started out together from Illinois and I suspect that Elijah Davis, father of James P, John B, and Hannah Davis were with them as well as their mom Elizabeth (Shoopman)Davis. I guess Elijah and Elizabeth Davis their parents stayed in Old Peculiar, Missouri while the three families went on to Navarro Co., TX. I guess Nelson and Hannah (Davis)Kimbrell returned to Old Peculiar, Missouri as they are buried there at Wills Cemetery. Ira Allen Davis was the son of John Barton and Mirilda Jane (Kimbrell)Davis born in 1885 in Navarro County, Texas. Lottie Ellen Davis was the daughter of of John Barton and Christina (Liming)Davis born in Illinois before they moved. Christina (Liming)Davis died in 1879 the year they arrived in Texas from an epidemic that took her life as well as two of their youngest children. Cyrus Augustine is the son of John Barton and Christina (Liming)Davis also born in Illinois.
