This is 1810 Census reference page cited as *5.
I coudn't find James B Davis listed in Jessamine County, Kentucky on either the 1810 or 1820 Census. He was listed on the 1830 Census for Jessamine County. I had evidence that he was in the area but wasn't positive he lived in Jessamine County. Common sense indicated however that he and Elizabeth Hawkins his wife must have lived in Jessamine County Kentucky as they were married there on 15 or 16 Dec 1806 and appeared on the 1830 Census for Jessamine County Kentucky. The article that Roots Web published on their web site about spelling surnames on Census gave me the clue that the census taker spelled it differently in 1810 and 1820 as Davies and Daviss respectively and both without his middle initial but they were listed as indicated. For the year 1810 another James Davies(Davis) was listed that was older and had more children in his family. The James Davies I assume is the same as James B Davis on this listing is just above Polly Davies on the list near the bottom line or entry. For James Davies that I believe is really James B Davis family just above Polly Davis family the column listings were as follows: 1 male of 16 and under 26 years including heads of household; and 2 females under ten and 1 female of 16 and under 26. James B Davis likely 25 years old in in 1810 and Elizabeth his wife about the same age as listed. The two females their daughters, Winney born 1810 and unknown daughter that may have passed away? If the same family one of daughters is missing from 1830 census listing for James B Davis. This is a copy of page 35A, page 37 on the CD. This copy of a portion of the page cited is from the 1810 Census for Jessamine County, Kentucky. The James Davies listed near the top of this copy is older and I firmly suspect related to James B Davis. I know James B Davis lived here as he was married here and also listed on 1830 Census. Hannah Davis is listed on the 1820 Census. John Hawkins and family appears on 1810 census for Jessamine Co, KY on page 44 of CD listing but perhaps 42 of real census. None of the family appear on 1820 census. John Hawkins had moved to Henry County while some of his his children moved to Brackenridge Co by 1820. The 1810 Census listings does not appear to be by order in which the census taker made his rounds as most of the surnames beginning with "D" or any other letter seem to be grouped together, while the 1820 Census and 1830 Census do appear to be listed in order of stops made by the census taker.
I found a John Hawkins listed on this same census but on a different page, 41 and handwritten as 583 in margin, for Jessamine County, Kentucky Census list as shown below.

The John Hawkins listed on this page is probably the father of Elizabeth Hawkins who married James B Davis in Jessamine County in 1806. John Hawkins was also listed in Jessamine County, Kentucky on the 1800 tax rolls. I suspect the Jonathan Hiatt just above John Hawkins is related to Susannah Hiatt the wife of Thomas W Davis the brother of Charles Davis. Thomas W Davis was Charles Davis brother and I suspect may have also known John Hawkins from Virginia. Thomas W Davis and Susannah (Hiatt)Davis lived close to Charles Davis his brother but just over the county line in Woodford County, Kentucky. There is also a listing for a John Hawkins in Henry County, Kentucky for this 1810 Census listing but his age bracket suggests he is young enough to be the son of John Hawkins. I suspect he is in fact as John Hawkins listed here moved to Henry County later on as Mr. Feaster indicated his will was dated 1824 in Henry County, Kentucky and mentions his daughter Elizabeth Davis and husband James Davis in it.
