Photo by Randy Davis, Clark Cem. Cass County Illinois, Memorial. Memorial Stone is inscribed on this side "My Father Mother Erected by Edward Davis their son MAY 1, 1883"
Another side of this stone is inscribed "James B Davis" and another side is inscribed "Elizabeth Davis & Nancy Davis" Photos of the other two sides are available to view from picture index page or view those photos from links below.

Edward's father James B and mother Elizabeth had moved the family from area in Keene Kentucky Census district in Eastern Jessamine County in 1835 to Cass County, Illinois.

The obituary article on Edward Davis his son who is also buried here and erected this memorial also stated his parents were buried in Clark Cemetery. An apparent private family cemetery was listed on land Edward Davis owned untill the late 1800s on the same listing for Clark Cemetery but that no evidence of it remained at time of the listing. See Clark Cemetery listing showing reference towards bottom of listing. My conclusion is that the obituary article proves they are buried in Clark Cemetery even though the Cemetery does not show them on its list.
