This plane was built from a modified Dynaflite kit. It featured split flaps, scale wing fillets, full cockpit, scale cowl courtesy of Spychalla Aircraft LLC, and Robart landing gear. It's covered with Coverite 21st Century fabric with the green stripes painted on over it. During it's second season of service, Tony ran into a bit of bad luck. While making a long approach in Owatonna, MN, the engine died due to an idle setting that was too low. (Pilot Error) Though the plane successfully made it under a set of power lines, it wasn't as lucky with the tree near the end of the runway. The resulting crash left the cowl cracked, and tail broke loose. The model is repaired and currently in the repainting process. |
