The sea smelled so good. The sounds of the waves coming in and out were soothing. Tsuzuki stretched as he took in a deep breath of the salty air. It was vacation time and they had enough money to go out of the country. They wound up around some island that wasn't too far from the USA. He always wanted to go to America but unfortunately they weren't there. But it didn't matter to him really, it was the beach and all of his shinigami friends were there with him. Watari was a little up set to be taken away from his lab but he soon got into the idea of relaxing.
"Ne ne, Hisoka!" Tsuzuki called out to his partner.
"What is it now you idiot?" Hisoka's eyebrows knitted as he walked up.
The genki shinigami dismissed the insult and knelt down. His eyes were fixed on a small pillar of light that suddenly popped up out of the sand. With an innocent child's curiosity he reached down his hand to it. "What do you think this is?" he asked feeling a strange warm chill from the pillar.
"Tsuzuki don't touch that!" Hisoka shouted.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Tsuzuki stood up. He then noticed that Hisoka was pointing and stuttering about something. "Well if you're going to say something you should," Tsuzuki turned around to see a giant wave of water coming strait towards them. He quickly grabbed a hold of Hisoka and held onto the boy with all of his strength as the water pounded down upon them.

Tatsumi felt a strange chill run down his spin. There was something wrong, so he instantly went looking for the group's trouble maker. To the secretary's dismay the two Kyushu district shinigami were missing. At the beach how ever was there was some kind of water damage... like from a title wave. This was just what he did not need on a vacation. Now he had to find them and if they were washed out into see... well they were in a world of pain.

Hisoka opened his eyes slowly, his head was throbbing. He must have hit his head on something. His cheek was rested against hard muscles. Lifting himself up on to his hands and knees he looked down to see who he was lying on. It was Tsuzuki. The man was unconscious his shirt had most of the buttons torn off... and the sand that littered the shinigami's hair gave a beautiful accent. Hisoka found himself blushing before he even knew if his partner was okay.
"Tsuzuki..." Hisoka shook the man's shoulders, "Tsuzuki, wake up. Tsuzuki, come on you idiot!"
"Can't you ever say anything nice to me?" Tsuzuki moaned as he slowly sat up. "You could let me rest a bit longer, I did pull you to shore after all."
"What?" Hisoka turned red at the thought of Tsuzuki gallantly saving him from drowning.
"Yea," Tsuzuki crossed his legs and placed his hands in the small space between them. "You hit your head on a rock when the under tow of the title wave took us out to sea. I have to admit I was really worried when I found you floating like a dead man."
Hisoka looked to the side not knowing what to say. He wasn't too keen on thanking anyone. But being saved like that... "Thank you," he managed to whisper.
Tsuzuki looked over and blinked at his partner in near shock, "Did I hear you right?"
"Yea, so shut up about it," Hisoka found himself turning really red.
"Hisoka are you feeling okay? You're cheeks are turning red," Tsuzuki placed his wrist over Hisoka's forehead. "Well, you're not burning up."
"Idiot..."
"Well, you're feeling well enough to insult me," the older shinigami got to his feet and brushed off some sand from his pants. "Come on, we should scout out the area and see if we can get any help."
The blond didn't want to admit that his dimwitted partner was right but still... They needed to get going. He got to his feet and stood there for a moment feeling a fuzzy feeling over coming his senses as small needles of pain pricked the back of his head. He began to fall but bumped into Tsuzuki, who quickly wrapped his arms about the youth. "Hisoka, are you sure you're okay?" the shinigami asked supporting the boy.
The blond pushed Tsuzuki away and began walking, "Of course I am. What are you doing just standing by idly we need to get going."
Tsuzuki smiled. He was no empath but he could tell that Hisoka was embarrassed about something.
