Cute Snowman Ornament
Use up old baby socks by making easy snowman ornaments.  Children love to make these, and they are really easy!  You will need:

* White and colored baby socks
* Pipe cleaners
* Stuffing
* Pompoms
* Felt or ribbon
* Marker

Cut the ribbing section off of a white baby sock and fill it with stuffing.  Tie the top of the sock off.  Using felt or a ribbon (decorated ribbon works great!) tie it around the sock like a scarf, creating a head and body.  Using a colored sock, cut off the foot section and roll the bottom (where you cut) up like a stocking cap, tie the top using a ribbon, and glue it onto the head of the snowman.  Cut an orange pipe cleaner to the desired length for a carrot nose, add glue and stick onto face.  Then put a pipe cleaner over the head and glue pompoms on each side to make earmuffs.  Use black fine tip marker and color in eyes and a mouth.  The ribbon on top of the hat can be used for hanging on trees, wreaths, or shelves.  If you have any questions, e-mail me

Snowman Motif Gift Bag

You will need:

* Small plain brown paper bag
* Paint
* Scrap paper
* Raffia or ribbon

Carefully cut a snowman shape out of a piece of scrap paper, retaining the paper it was cut from. Place the piece of paper with the snowman shape cut from it onto the bag.  Dab a sponge, stencil brush, or crumpled up rag into white paint and then lightly dab inside the design.  Carefully remove the stencil and allow your snowman  to dry.  Paint a top hat, scarf, eyes, nose, mouth, and arms onto the snowman.  Fold the top of the bag over and punch two holes in it.  Run raffia or ribbon through the holes and tie in a bow to secure the gift.
Gifts for the Gardner
Give a gift of spring time with a grouping of planting necessities.  Include hand tools, gloves, cute garden implements, and maybe a bag of seeds for their favorite plants.  If you have some extra time on your hands, stain a board, paint "Garden of Weedin'" on it, then weatherproof and tack onto a stake for a very funny personal gift for the gardner in your life.
Wrapping suggestion:
Decorated Flower Pot

Paint a terra cotta flower pot in your desired design and place the gifts inside the pot.  Design ideas:  Cat prints. Paint it blue then sponge white clouds. Paint it midnight blue and add yellow stars and white dots.  Paint a comment or the recipient's name.  Be creative!
Computer Package
Is someone you know getting a computer for Christmas?  Need to buy a gift for a co-worker or friend that likes computers?  A computer package with thoughtful and needed items is great!  Assemble blank diskettes or CD's (if they have a CD burner), a new mouse pad, cleaning supplies (have you looked at YOUR keyboard lately?), cool paper products like photographic paper or card stock, and maybe a software package.  Depending on what you want to spend, you can make a nice simple basket or a large lavish accessory gift.  Customize the gift to the person and the situation! Wrapping suggestion:

Use a basket (in-out tray) and place the gifts in it.  Then secure them with colored plastic wrap and add a lavish bow.  Find or make a tag in the shape of a computer and include a friendly comment.
