1985 Flyer Industries D901

Common on the rte 169 are the D901's, 6044 is one of them photographed at Scarborough Ctr on one sunny afternoon.

Seen one summer day running up Yonge St signed up for rte 53B. 6044 is unique as it has fleet numbers on both sides of the destination sign in which was common with the D901 fleet until rebuild.

The former Rogers @ Home wrap bus from Danforth is seen running a Autoshow Shuttle in February 2002. This photo was taken on Front St and John St.

6228 is seen here in St. Clair West Stn with her Wonderbread wrap ad. 6228 was running on rte 90 Vaughan that day.

This pictures was taken prior to the closure of the Eglinton Garage and the Danforth Garage.  At the time 6235 was operating rte 6 Bay which is now under the control of Birchmount.

Classics are more common on rte 42 since the takeover by the Eglinton garage.  6242 is seen northbound on Yonge St.

After New Eglinton opened Birchmount took over the operation of rte 25 Don Mills. Taken @Overlea Blvd/Thorncliffe Park Dr.

  New Flyer Industries D40-88

On a Saturday morning 6431 was running rte 45 Kipling This photo was taken when the subway was closed from Islington Stn to Kipling Stn for track repairs

New Flyer Industries D40-89

Another bus that was used for the Autoshow shuttle was 6480 out of the Queensway garage.

A rear view of 6501 on Islington Ave outside Islington Stn. 6501 is going into Islington Stn to pick up passengers.

New Flyer Industries D40-90

Photographed on one mild September afternoon, 6590 heads westbound to Sheppard Stn.  6590 is photographed between Venturer Dr and Morningside Ave.

Resurfacing construction on Finch Ave caused traffic and restricted one lane between hwy 404 and Don Mills. One way each direction.  6610 is seen on rte 39 westbound, just west of Seneca College.

Away from it's home division at Malvern, 6630 is serving rte 109B which is a Wilson Division route.

New Flyer Industries D40LF

During the annual autoshow at the Convention Centre downtown the TTC runs shuttles out of Eglinton and Danforth. 7300 was a shuttle out of Eglinton garage.

When New Eglinton took over Danforth routes such as rte 81 Thorncliffe Park, different types of accessible buses were introduced onto the routes which used a narrow selection when Danforth operated them.  7345 is seen on rte 81 Thorncliffe Park on Overlea Blvd on a foggy afternoon.

Both the D40LFs are seen in the Don Mills Stn bus bay on the official opening of the Sheppard Subway line. It would be another day after this photo was taken revenue service buses would enter Don Mills Stn.

Out of the old Eglinton garage at the time 7346 is seen running the Autoshow shuttle. The destination sign does not have the public relation code as some of the other buses to display AUTOSHOW.

7350 is the only D40LF retrofitted with the Luminator Horizon destination sign, this is why the text is orange instead of yellow.  7350 was also used to test out a new rear doors system.  7350 was photographed @Yonge/Eglinton.

NovaBUS Corporation T80206 RTS

Now under the Arrow Rd garage RTSs are now found on routes such as rte 106.  This photograph was taken at York University where 7236 was on layover.

Orion Bus Industries 03.501 (Articulateds) 6360-6419,6530-6559 Series

6403 is found on the other most common route for the articulated buses, rte 53 Steeles.  The day this was photographed 6403 was running northbound on Yonge St signed up rte 53E

6411 is running on rte 39C and is making a left turn onto McCowan to finish off it's eastbound trip at Sandhurst Circle before making a westbound trip to Finch Stn.

Orion Bus Industries 05.501 CNG 9370-9394 Series

9386 is only one of two TTC vehicles to carry the Austin Powers Goldmember all over ad.  ALRV 4213 is the other TTC vehicle to carry the Goldmember all over ad.  9386 is photographed at Downsview Stn running rte 117 Alness.

Orion Bus Industries 05.501 6640-6745 Series

6653 is seen @ Overlea Blvd and Beth Nealson Dr running rte 25 Don Mills

One of the newly rebuilt Orion 05.501 6662 is picking up passengers on Bay St north of Bloor.  6662 has undergone the 12 year rebuild program set out by the TTC, rebuilt Orion Vs are easily identified through their newly painted exterior and the absence of the easier access sticker located to the left, below the windshield.

This scene may not be repeated again, this is because Birchmount no longer operates rte 86 Scarborough and Kennedy Stn has had the addition of an addition lay over lane which was built over the commuter lot to the right.

This photo was taken during a downpour during a late-July day, 6693 has not undergone it's 12 year rebuild as it was photographed @ Bay/Bloor.

6699 was photographed at the same location except that I photographed 6699 on a more nicer day.  6699 is also has not undergone it's 12 year rebuild.

Laying over at the Toronto Zoo on a gorgeous summer day is 6701 which had the A/C running smoothly.

A view of the UWE connector on 6701.  This UWE connector is used to attach hoses to the vehicle (air and heat) to keep them stored outdoors and maintain a warm temperature for the interior of the vehicle and the engine for easy start.

6706 runs rte 25 Don Mills and is seen here on Overlea Blvd on a foggy day.

A brand new rebuilt Orion 05.501 6707 pictured outside of Bay Stn on Bay St north of Bloor St.

6735 is seen on Bay St south of Queen St.  The financial district of Toronto is seen in the background.  6735 has not undergone the 12 year rebuild program to date, but eventually 6735 will go and receive a rebuild as part of the 12 year rebuild program.

Orion Bus Industries 05.501 7000-7134 Series

Ex-Arrow Rd bus 7014 which belongs to Eglinton garage is on a layover at Kennedy Stn on rte 57.

At the north end of the rte 57, 7022 picks up passenger for a trip south.  Notice 7022 lacks the front TTC logo and also has a newer license plate.

Taken four days before this branch on rte 85 would be discontinued by the opening of the Sheppard Subway.  7031 was photographed @ the southwest corner of Kennedy/Sheppard.

Ex-High Speed Edition Sympatico bus 7073 is seen here at Finch Stn on layover prior to entering service on the rte 39E Express to Neilson.

Before 7083 left Malvern for it's new home @ New Eglinton, 7083 had it's front destination sign window replaced.  This window was designed for a one line display sign, as you can see 7083 has a two line display sign.

7089 was operating on rte 39 Finch East when this photo was taken on a Sunday evening.  If you notice one door panel stands out as it was replaced and has yet to be painted.

7126 was an ex-CHUM FM all over advertisement bus, hence the lack of it's ad racks.  Take into notice that this bus is headed to Shepard Stn which now is Sheppard-Yonge Stn.  This photograph was taken @ the northeast corner of Kennedy/Sheppard.

Orion Bus Industries 05.501 CNG 9400-9449 Series

This is a special bus of Wilson's.  Notice what is missing for 9402?  Well 9402 was converted over the summer into diesel.  The Cummins L10 engine was retrofitted with a Cummins LTA10B engine off of at retired D40-90.  Photographed @ the northeast corner of Bathurst/Steeles.

A common place for all Orion CNGs in the TTC fleet, 9437 is seen leaving the rte 60E stop at York University for a trip eastbound to Finch Stn.

Leaving Finch Stn 9443 is on rte 60.  Notice the p/r message 9443 carries. !!GO LEAFS GO!! ROCKET TO A.C.C. Also behind 9443 is it's diesel sister unit 7111 which is based out of Malvern garage and is running on rte 53B

Orion Bus Industries 06.501 CNG 9200-9249 Series

Running rte 196 York University Rocket is Orion VI 9228 which made use of her ramp even though this route is not designated as an accessible route. The driver was courteous to do this as some drivers would not of done this.

Orion Bus Industries 07.501 7400-7619 Series

7400,7400ii

The first of the 220 Orion Bus Industries (VII) 07.501 order arrived and the pilot bus (7400) is seen at Scarborough Town Centre, at the time 7400 was driving supervisors from unknown divisions to lunch at Scarborough Ctr. Notice the new destination signs which are brighter than the old ones.
