Notes: The maps were created from bitmap images of outline maps, converted by BMP2SV0, a utility by Michael Udaltsov (email:cccp_99 AT hotmail DOT com) that converts image files to TTD scenario files. I found new interest in TTD when I started using the "pre-signals" option in TTDPATCH by Josef Drexler (email:jdrexler AT uwo DOT ca). Finally I could create signaled rail systems where trains would not get trapped coming from opposite directions with nowhere to go. I know I could use more double-track, but I prefer using single track with passing sidings wherever possible, more like real US railroad practice. I think all the the animation in TTD is a hoot, and I also get a charge from the steam train whistles, diesel horns and crossing gate sounds.
