Cowboy's got Feelin's, too.

Blazin' sun; trail ridin' today:
Ah feels ... hot ... and sticky ... and plumb disgruntled
(and my butt's numb, too).

First-time calf branding, all day:
Ah feels ... queazy, mostly
(whew-eee! Bar-B-Que done way wrong; adds new meaning to 'raw-hide').

Supper on the range:
Ah feels ... bloated ... them beans surely do fill a body up.
(tomorrow Ah'll be 'uplifted').

Midnight deluge:
Ah feels ... cold ... and wet ... and downright cranky
(yew was expectin' insightful ... or profound ... at O-dark-thirty?).

Morning; Ah rides to town:
Ah feels ... hopeful ... and 'uplifted'
(ah tol' yew about them beans).

Purty bar woman smiles at me:
Ah feels ... aw, shucks ... bashful, Ah reckon
(Cowboy ain't known fer his social skills).

Purty bar woman strokes my hairy bicep, drinks my whiskey, and kisses on me:
Ah feels ... anticipation
(and a mite 'excited', too).

We does 'the wild thang':
Ah feels ... fer a while ... be-calmed.

Purty bar woman tawks ... and tawks ... AND tawks....
Ah feels ... pretty darned bored, to tell you true.
(It's in the genes: woman tawks; man ignores).

Ah moseys on back home:
Ah feels ... a mite de-spunked ... and Ah's still 'uplifted.'
(Darned beans....).
