Pets belonging to different owners are housed and walked separately. The animals are not mixed in the exercise yard or boarding facilities. |
The charge is per night according to your pet's weight. All canine and feline pets receive a bath before they go home, during which we trim the nails, clean ears and express anal sacs (when applicable). Please call the clinic at (205)345-1231 for specific information and rates. |
Although we are one of the larger boarding facilities in west Alabama, the limitations of our space become apparent during major holidays. Therefore reservations are recommended at least one week before the following holiday periods: January New Year's March/April Spring Break (AEA) July Independence Day September Labor Day November Thanksgiving December Christmas |
Both our canine and feline boarders are fed Hill's Science Diet dry food while staying at Indian Hills. If your pet requires a special veterinary diet, we have most Hill's and Eukanuba foods on hand or you may bring your pet's food with you when dropping off. If your pet is particularly finicky, then by all means feel free to bring along his or her favorite chow! |
Note: It is typically Indian Hills' policy to remain closed on holidays. Doctors and assistants do come into the clinic to care for and maintain the boarding animals and patients. However, drop-offs and pick-ups on holidays have been discontinued. |
Avian and exotic boarding animals will need to bring a supply of their own food, as we do not stock a variety of bird, ferret, fish or rabbit feeds. (Yes, we do occasionally have boarding fish.) |
