This is our clinic dog, KayDee. Her job is to be onhand should we require a blood donor. Typically, we use frozen plasma or artificial blood in emergency cases, but KayDee is part of our accreditation requirements with the American Animal Hospital Association. |
KayDee is an English shorthaired pointer. Some people think she looks like Petey from the "Little Rascals" Click here for an interesting article on Petey. |

Although Kay Dee appears to dangerously thin, this is a normal result of her extremely high metabolism. Her ribs (including an inverted floating rib low on her ribcage) stick out making her appear anorexic. Each dog has a unique set of genetic and environmental conditions which shape its appetite and size. If you have questions about how much, what to feed, or when to feed your pet, visit us at Indian Hills and we will be glad to answer your questions and work up a specific set of dietary recommendations for your special companion animal! |
