| ~ The teacher will write each state's name on separate pieces of paper to be chosen randomly out of a container by each student. ~ Each student will then research their chosen state at any of the following websites: |

| ~ Each student will record a minimum of 10 interesting facts about their state, which must include the following information: | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| - State capital - Population - Year it became a state - Location compared to Indiana |
||||||||||||||||||||||
| ~ Each student will then compose a one-page summary concluding all of the information gathered from their research to later be presented in class. ~ Each student will also draw a picture of their state's flag accompany the presentation. ~ At the time of presentation, the teacher will hang an englarged map of the United States for students' reference. ~ After all students have presented, each will analyze the presented information and write one paragraph about which state they would most like to visit and why. |
