Sector 17 - 2
This partion of the Elrood Sector contains the Elrood System.
------------
Elrood System
A system in the Elrood Sector.
Acatal
This dry, rocky planet is the second in the Elrood System. A small mining company, run by Radell Mining, Incorporated, extracts raw ores from the barren wastes. Radell owns the planet.
Akana
This dry, barren planet supports only microbial life, although a colony of artists maintains a small outpost there. Akana is orbited by a single moon.
Akanala
This sparkling moon was the only satellite of the planet Akana. It was known as the "diamond in Akana's sky," a reference to its shimmering appearance. Akanala's brilliance is due to its composition, which was mainly quartz.
Ba'Har
this planet, has a small, thin ring system. The name "Ba'Har" means "battle blade" in native Coynese. Ba'Har was a gas giant with five natural moons, and didn't seem to support any life.
Il'Har
One of the five moons of the planet Ba"Har.
Jul'Har
One of the five moons of the planet Ba"Har.
Qa'Har
One of the five moons of the planet Ba"Har.
Uv'Har
One of the five moons of the planet Ba"Har.
Wop'Har
One of the five moons of the planet Ba"Har.
Coyn
Located in the Elrood sector near the planet Tro'Har, Coyn is the homeworld of the imposing Coynite alien species. Coynite warriors, standing as tall as 2.8 meters, wear their hair in long braids and carry ceremonial longaxes called coyn'skars. Under the Coynite Cradle Law, males cannot own their own land, marry, or disobey their fathers' wishes until they have become adults.
In an extreme display of the Cradle Law, a warrior named Tra'Parr'Sratt fulfilled his insane father's demands by killing his seven brothers, his mother, and finally his father-- an act praised by other Coynites as the highest example of familial honor. Tra'Parr'Sratt now works for the
gangster Abdi-Badawzi on Socorro.
Elrood
Elrood, located in the sector of the same name, is the site of a commercial colony that contains
prefabricated room units from the factories of Sullust. The Dark Jedi Durrei, who joined with a
Imperial faction in the Corva sector after the Battle of Endor, was a native of Elrood.
Lanthrym
Located in the Elrood sector. Outlaw stations on Lanthrym will service any ship, including those
belonging to pirates and wanted criminals. The criminal Morana Fal, who had escaped from the
Soruus system with a suit of prototype battle armor, was last sighted on Lanthrym.
Tro`Har
The planet Tro'Har is located in the Elrood sector, near the planet Coyn.
------------
Uta System
The Uta System contains the planet Danuta.
Danuta
The technical plans for the Empire's first Death Star were kept in a secret Imperial base on
Danuta before their scheduled transfer to Darth Vader. Alliance agent Kyle Katarn infiltrated the
facility and stole the plans, which were later beamed to Princess Leia's corvette near Toprawa.
Zuta
Zuta is more commonly known as Rathalay. It is known for it's expansive grey basalt beaches, but is seldom crowded with tourists. It's vast oceans harbor large, dangerous predators, including schools of sharp-toothed Narkaa. It's tiny sea motes are valued for the beautiful, jewellike shells they leave behind. Nine hundred meters below the water's surface lies the wreck of the starfighter Just Cause, which crashed while carrying a cargo of preciuos metals. Twelve years after the Battle of Endor, Han Solo, Leia and their children relaxed on a Rathalay beach as the crisis in the Koornacht Cluster began unfolding.
