------------

Fest System
Contains the planet Fest.

Fest
Fest, located in the system of the same name, is in the Atrivis sector of the Outer Rim and borders the Mantooine system. An Imperial Weapons Research Facility, hidden in a steep mountain range, was located on Fest and performed metallurgical research on new alloys. Following the Battle of Yavin, Alliance agent Kyle Katarn infiltrated the facility and stole a sample of the metal Phrik, used in armoring the Dark Troopers. The Fest system was also home to a resistance group opposing the Empire.

------------

Gamel System
Contains the planet Gamelon.

Gamelon
A planet that once had an ecosystem very much like Yavin IV. About 50 years ago the planet experienced a dramatic increace in atmospheric radiation. This was found to be caused by a previously unidentified space vehicle that had entered the orbit of the planet. The ship, apparently adrift for three centuries or so, was carrying large amount of dangerous radioactice waste that was leaking into the upper atmosphere. Although the hulk was removed from orbit, the planet's ecosystem was severely damaged. Most of the population was removed from the planet and relocated elsewhere. The planet has been under quarantine for the past 36 years.

------------

Mantooine System
A system in the Atrivis Sector that contains the planet of the same name.

Mantooine
Mantooine, in the system of the same name, is located in the Atrivis sector in the Outer Rim. The government of Mantooine considers spice smuggling to be a capital offense. Years ago, a group of Mantooine freedom fighters called the Liberators were massacred by the Empire when they took refuge in a captured Imperial base. If the group had been allied with another resistance group in the nearby Fest system, however, the Liberators could have been warned of the coming strike fleet and taken cover in Mantooine's impenetrable forests. This example of the benefits of communication helped build a strong case for a single, unified Rebel Alliance. In a separate incident, the probe droid D-127X's self-sacrifice may have saved Mantooine from an Imperial surprise attack.

Minos
Minos is a lush, forested planet that is the home of a thriving, technologically advanced civilization. The people of Minos gained notoriety as arms merchants during the Erselrope Wars and up through the Battle of Blaanc. With the end of the major confrontations and outright war between the Empire and the Rebellion, the economy of Minos suffered. There is now a very large middle class and most of the manufacturing plants have closed down. With the recent addition of Crimson Moon in the Sector the future of Minos looks bright once more.
