Eriadu has been polluted terribly by the many factories which litter the planet. Once this planet was the trading hub of the Outer Rim. Now it is populated mostly by the lower level of the galactic gene pool, although a considerable portion of the planet is home to wealthy merchants. During the Empire's reign, it was a trading and governmental hub in the Outer Rim. It served as the Capital world of Grand Moff Tarkin's territory, and was the base of his operations during his command of the Outer Rim Territories. Remnants of the Imperial occupation and control of this planet are everywhere, and although the sector is now a member of the Republic, certain pro-Imperial factions still exist on the planet. The planet is a mismatched collection of religious, political, and racial factions that make up the population. After Grand Moff Tarkin was promoted by the Emperor, Moff Abrams Ringoson was placed in control of the Seswenna Sector until he was reassigned. The planet is located in the Eriadu System of the Seswenna Sector.
