This system contains Rydar II, the original home of the Ranats.

Rydar II
The semi-intelligent Ranat species originated on Rydar II, located in the Rydar system. Several hundred years ago, the human inhabitants of Rydar II attempted to exterminate the Ranats due to their propensity to eat human infants. The extermination was nearly successful, but three Ranats managed to stow away on a visiting smuggling ship. The ship crashed on Aralia, and the Ranats have since populated that planet.
