Black Widow Nebula
A dense cloud of gas which surrounds a small proto-star. The gas cloud appears to be dark brown in color. This is because the small star provides little light to the interior of the cloud. What little light is provided gives a deep red glow to to the central part of the nebula. When the nebula is viewed from afar it resembles a huge spider.
