(Fort Drum is NOT on the Tug Hill)

Welcome to the #1 resource for tug hill weather. These 5 day written forecasts are for the high elevation area of the tug hill(1700 feet plus). I make the forecasts using common sense climatic data, maps from www.Snow-Forecast.com (an awesome resource that has temp and snow maps for the world that are topo sensitive; Its unparralled), and forecast models like the mrf. This page will also contain forecast discussions about big events on the tug. I'd appreciate it if anyone could send over pictures of the tug when you were on a snowmobile trip or just live there when a big snowfall occured. I'd like the pictures to clearly show how deep the snow and if you want; a cool picture of your snowmobile. If anyone wants to send in some shots or just has a comments or suggestions send your emails to iceman@abac.com I decided to make this page because there aren't any good weather forecasts specific to the tug that are in the least bit accurate. These forecasts are not generic forecast made for lewis county, but extremely specific forecasts for the tug hill.

WHATS NEW!

Live cam on the tug added!!, check below. Also, new more detailed average snowfall maps added as well as 96 total seasonal snowfall map to the climate section! New link added as well, check out current conditions at Salmonhillresort .

NEW WEBCAM! This webcam is almost on the tug, were getting closer!. Its located off of the tug in a town called castorland, right before the beaver river enters the black river. Its located at an elevation of 800 feet right near lowville new york. Average snowfall in this area is about 200 inches. This cam is courtesy of www.weatherstuff.net Its a great site!

This is a live web cam image from Oswego New York. It's not on the tug, but its the closest I could find. A link to the cam was sent by Alex Dodd. Thanks Alex! Do not use this cam to see what the conditions on the tug are like, but it still gives a good idea whats going on in the valley. The link to the site that hosts this web cam is Oswego State University Live Cam .They have tools at their site for zooming in/out and looking around. Again, I'm still looking for someone to set up a live cam on the tug. If your interested, feel free to email me. I'd be happy to put a banner or a link on my front page to your buisness free of charge.
