The Tukwila Police Explorer Program is for young men and women ages 14 to 21 and who are out of the 8th grade.  The Tukwila Police Law Enforcement Exploring program is to bridge the gap between youth and police by educating and involving them in police operations and to interest them in Law Enforcement.

WHAT DOES AN EXPLORER DO?

**Explorers learn about law enforcement at the summer and winter Explorer academies and at monthly meetings.
**Explorers volunteer at community events doing security work, directing traffic, fingerprinting small children and helping with crime prevention programs.
**Explorers provide assistance to the Tukwila Police Department.
**Explorers attend state, regional and national competitions with other Explorer posts.
**Explorers learn personal responsibilites and integrity.
**Explorers develop leadership abilities and participate in campouts and other social activies.
