best use of convention them combined with Beta Sigma Phi. Prizes will be awarded Sunday morning.
The following rules must
be followed:
1. Decoration MUST FOLLOW CONVENTION THEME – “Sprinkling
of Stars - Past, Present and Future”.
2. Do not damage doors with decorations.
3. Decorations must be in place by 9:00 am, Saturday,
July 12, 2008.
4. Decorations must be removed before departing on
Sunday, July 13, 2008.
5. Doors will be judged on creativity, originality,
general design, and use of convention theme.

“Sprinkling of Stars – Past, Present
& Future”
The 2008 Oklahoma Beta
Sigma Phi Convention will be held in Tulsa, July 11-13, 2008. Friday, July 11th
pre-registration will be from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. at The Hilton Tulsa Southern
Hills Hotel, 7902 S. Lewis, 918-492-5000.
The hospitality room will be open during this time with snacks and
beverages.
You may also register
Saturday morning beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Following registration, breakfast will be served in the Oklahoma Grand
Ballroom. Chapters are encouraged to
participate in the chapter dress alike introduction contest with ditty. Come let us welcome you to the great city of
Tulsa. Saturday morning breakfast is
always a good time for all!
We have a great speaker
for Saturday morning after breakfast.
This speaker will take the place of individual forums this year. You won’t want to miss it!
After the morning session,
we will break for lunch on your own. There
is shopping at The Plaza across the street to the south, Oral Roberts
University is across the street to the east, around the corner to the west is
Creek Nation Casino, and The RiverWalks is just across the river to the west.
The International
Reception will be at 6:30 p.m. prior to dinner being served. We are asking that you wear after five
attire or your favorite entertainer. There
will be entertainment after dinner.
Sunday morning, please
wear your Sunday best. We will have another
delicious breakfast buffet. We will be
passing the torch and honoring our Sisters who are no longer with us. The convention will conclude at
approximately noon.
LODGING: The Hilton’s
rate for BSP is $86.00 + tax per night.
This rate applies to single, double, triple, or quadruple
occupancy. The deadline for your room
reservation is June 27th. After this date, rooms will be on a space
available basis. So, be sure to book
your room early! You may reserve your
room by calling the Hilton Tulsa Southern Hills Hotel at 918-492-5000.
SISTER GIFT EXCHANGE: If you
would like to participate, bring a $15.00 wrapped gift. Leave your gift at the registration table when you register and pick up
your exchange gift Saturday morning. Please
include your name, chapter name and city in case your receiving sister would
like to thank you in person.
SCRAPBOOKS AND YEARBOOKS: We hope you
will enter your chapter’s 2007 – 2008 scrapbook and yearbook in the contest for
Oklahoma’s Best Scrapbook and Best Yearbook.
Please use this year’s International Theme. Please send your chapter’s scrapbook and/or yearbook by June 1,
2008 to: Elaine BIles, 508 N. 79th St., Broken Arrow, OK 74014. Judging will be by a Texas chapter and
winners will be announced at the convention, where you will be able to pick up
your entries.

WAYS AND MEANS: You will
have several opportunities throughout the convention for fundraising for your
chapter. Full table will be $15 and a ½
table will be $7.50. Please indicate on
your registration forms which size you need and include your fee with your
registration. Please complete and mail
with your registration the Ways and Means Reservation sheet.
MEMORIALS: You may
honor your sister by sending the following information to Ruthie Lowrie, 6312
East 57th Street, Tulsa, OK 74135. Name, chapter affiliation, dates of membership in BSP, offices and
services she rendered. Please keep your
information as brief and concise as possible.
