On September 11, 2001, 4 commercial airliners were hijacked by terrorists. Two of the planes were intentionally crashed into the World Trade Center, causing its complete destruction; one plane crashed into the Pentagon; and the fourth into a field in Sommerset County, Pennsylvania, about 80 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Thousands of people were killed and injured in the most brutal attack on American soil. Wondering what could be done to help, we organized the American Relief Ride as an immediate reaction to these tragic terrorist attacks. The Red Cross is currently in desperate need of money, so bikers across Atlanta joined together to do our part. We raised over $3000 for the Red Cross. Not much, but not bad for two days of planning! (Pictures 1-4 have some problems, but the rest should be okay.)
