| 7th Heaven is a family drama currently airing on The WB. 7th Heaven revolves around the Camden family and their adventures and stories surrounding each family member. The family, who started out with 6 members, has increased in it's eight seasons, losing and gaining cast members. But as one of WB's highest rated shows, it shows no signs of slowing down. 7th Heaven airs at 8 p.m. on The WB. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| CAST AND BACKSTORY Currently in it's eighth season, the original family cast of 7 now have only 4, not counting the twins who, after birth, made a count of 6. These six include Eric Camden, town Minister, Annie Camden, homemaker and their children. Lucy, student and wife, Ruthie, and Sam and David. Lucy's husband Kevin, a police officer lives with the family. His partner, Roxanne is good friends with the family as is Chandler, also a minister. Ruthie's boyfriend, Peter is a friendly face in the home, as is Cecilia, Sam and David's babysitter. Eric and Annie's other children include Simon, now 18, who has left for college. Mary is a fight attended and also married, as is Matt, who lives with his wife in New York training to become a doctor. |

| TITV's Take The sad thing about this show is that it really isn't that good anymore. After the departure of Jessica Biel and Barry Watson, the show lost much of it's charm and charisma. The producers obviously feel that the more cast members they add, the more viewers will forget about the absence of (now) three of it's main cast members. That is quite the opposite, however. George Stults, who plays Kevin, probably my least favorite of the "new" cast, has no chemistry with Lucy and is just a terrible actor all around. Lucy, in turn, lost all of her girl-like charm in the middle of the show and Simon's constant moody attitude toward the end of his run almost ruined his part. Ruthie just has no point in the storyline anymore and I don't know what Roxanne and Chandler have to do with anything. The twins are merely used to say "cute" things and Eric and Annie have little screen time with the overhaul of "family members". If you're already confused about this never-ending cast, you haven't seen anything. I haven't even named all of them. I'll admit that the show has picked up some since the dreadful last season and is still watchable, but it's testing it's luck at that. I hope this show goes out with some decency by ending soon with it's core members. Just the family. The way it was meant to be. |
