Art & Sherri's '78 MasterCraft restoration project

Eventually, I will write in detail the successes and failures of our restoration project, and upload more pictures. Also listed will be resources for materials used in the project, as well as reviews for how well they worked for us. Right now we're too busy waterskiing, you know how it is.

Due to popular demand, here are two downloadable files you can use as templates to recreate the older MasterCraft script. Please sign my guestbook if this image helped out, I'd really appreciate it.

Here are two views of the refinished dash. One with and one without hardware installed. I couldn't get an angle that did the shine any justice. Believe me though, it looks awesome with the green glitter, it matches the stripe perfectly. It also looks better than the woodgrain sticker that was original (that was so 70's-ish). I hope no one steals my idea. I've already gotten comments on how awesome it looks. If you're wondering where the windshield is, we took it off to make it easier to paint the boat, and clean the windshield. The windshield was real hazy from age, and thought it needed to be replaced because it was "dead". BUT..... I found a product at the local speed shop that circle track racers use on their lexan windshields that did a great job of making ours look like new again. We applied the #2 with a buffing wheel with excellent results. Visit their website here www.noscratch.com/novus.
