Engine is Installed!!
As you can see, the engine is in.  I still need to put the intake and valve covers on.  Also, all the front accessories need to be installed.  This should all be done before April 27th, and the car should be running on the 28th.  Here are some pictures and captions of the install.
ABOVE: The picture on the left is of my dad helping Bryan and I guide the engine into its home.  (Im underneath the car watching the tranny).  The picture on the right  is the engine with the intake and passenger side valve cover installed.  Its moving right along.
ABOVE: The left picture is after the engine and accessories were all put on.  After that it was time for a drink.:)  On the right I am installing my intercooler and other small items while Bryan is sitting in a lawn chair telling me what to do.  LOL.
The finished product.  Doesnt look too bad.  I am really happy with the way the "Black Chrome" powdercoating came out on my intake, valve covers, and dog house.  I also polished the raised surfaces for some contrast.  I like the way it came out.
Start Up/Cam Break In
On April 28th, 2001 at approximately 3:00 pm my Grand National had a heartbeat.  Upon startup, the oil pressure went to 75 psi and I brought the RPM's to 2000.  About every 2 minutes, I blipped the throttle from 2000 to 2500 RPM's a few times and then held the RPM's back at 2000 in hopes of getting the lifters to rotate.  After 25 minutes I let the car fall to idle....where I noticed a slight miss.  The first thing we thought was that the cam sensor was 180* out.  But after some other checking, I realized that we had broken the cam in with the #3 and #5 spark plugs crossed!!  If it lasts through that I think it should last at least 10K?  The engine has over 3300 miles on it and is running very well.  My fingers are crossed.
