STEPS TO A MEDICAL SERVE
 1-

when safe to do so, move to the nearest injured Free Person with medical kit and a bota of fresh water in hand
 2-

ask the Free Person of their wounds or source of injury.  prioritize tasks as to which needs attention paid to them first. if not breathing, this will be your main priority in opening an airway and starting Them breathing on Their own before attending the next injury.
 3-

ask the Free if they would like a kanda leaf to relieve the pain. if the answer is yes, instruct them to chew the leaf but not swallow it as kanda is highly toxic. should the Free Person have internal bleeding, mix some of the ground cayenne pepper with hot water (drinking temperature 'hot') and have Them drink it as a tea. it will stop the internal bleeding and stabilize Their blood pressure.
 4-

open the medical kit and add the finely ground kanda powder to the fresh water then soak a clean cloth, squeeze over the wound to flush the wound well then sprinkle with antiseptic powder
5- apply more kanda-laced water if you have to stitch.  cauterizing is only to be done by a Healer or Physician as it is a very last resort.
6- if anything foreign is in the wound remove it with tweezers
7- if there is active bleeding apply pressure to slow it.
 8-

if it needs stitching thread the needle with the bosk or verr gut. tie off each stitch as you go to prevent puckering of the skin as a single, long row of continual stitches would cause the skin to pucker and prevent infection from seeping out, thus holding it in causing further problems later on.  use the small pair of scissors in the medical kit to cut each suture. choose the right sized needle as sewing muscle tissue requires a thicker gauge needle.
 9-

flush the area once more with clean water, pat dry with a clean cloth
10- apply a thick coat of  healing salve
11-

place a clean, soft pad of bandaging over the wound and wrap a length of rolled bandaging around the area where the wound is located to hold it in place, tie off
12-

a little TLC (tender loving care) goes a long way, but keep the task in mind until all is completed including the putting away of supplies, before kissing and cuddling commences.
