Limited Capture Zone Rules
Turia is now a Limited Capture zone. Basically this means that Capture attempts will be permitted, under specific sets of rules.
ANY DEVIATION FROM THESE RULES WILL CAUSE THE CAPTURE TO BE INVALID
*Once again, this is a roleplay room with locational roleplay pulldowns. If you wish to raid/capture in the City of Turia, each raider/capturer in your party MUST use the pulldowns and make a minimum of three posts no less than seven words a piece (NO short posting-make it realistic-not including the entry post), moving through the City toward the Main Hall. The same goes for your exit posts. If you don't like it, don't raid or capture in this City. The rules are in place for a more rewarding roleplay experience for all involved in a Raid/Capture.
1. A Capture attempt of a FW or slave may NOT be attempted without at least one Warrior of the City present to defend.
2. The attempted capture MUST be approved by the Ubar,Ubara, or City Second for FW or City slaves, and by the Owner of a Personal slave.
3. A capture attempt will be a minimum of three posts...no flying in grabbing the P/person and flying out with T/them permitted. Remember, You are the aggressor here, and You will be fought. In this case, the FW or slave IS permitted to fight back for T/their safety...and Some FW do carry hidden weapons. Minimum force will be used in capture attempts, as this is for fun only.
4. Captures are for fun, sport, and perhaps profit only. No FW or slave will be captured and kept, unless the Ubar and/or Owner later decree it so. The Captured P/person WILL be treated in a safe manner at all times, or the capture will be voided and the P/person considered to have escaped. This means no facestrippings, no beatings, no rapes and certainly no killings. Reasonable restraints (tying, locking in a secure place, etc.) may be used, but there are to be no cruelties permitted.
5. If a P/person is captured, then a request for ransom or reasonable offer of conditions for release must be made to the Homestone within a reasonable amount of time. (For online purposes, within one hour of the capture is more than enough) Understand that a rescue attempt may not wait for that demand to be made.
6. If You don't like these rules.....DON'T BOTHER TRYING THE CAPTURE!!
*Rules for Raids of Recovery of Unwilling Captives
Occasionally, a captive will be held by a camp that isn't there willingly, but is there doing their best to honor a capture they think is legitimate within the confines of role play Gor. The captive who does this shows much honor for the captors, both homes, and for Gor. If ALL captures have to have prior consent and agreement from the defending Ubar/Chief/Jarl before they are made - then a captive who honors the role play of being captured is STUCK as a prisoner with no hope of rescue.
In the case of an Unwilling Captive (male or female and Free or slave), the captive may be recovered by ransom, trade, various diplomatic channels or by raiding. Additionally, the Unwilling Captive may escape on their own, depending on the situation of confinement and the judgement of the room leader. If the Unwilling Captive's home elects to raid to rescue the Unwilling Captive, the standard raiding rules shall apply with the following exceptions.
Note. Rescue raids for Unwilling Captives must be conducted using the Unwilling Captive's section of these rules. Regular raids may not be used to free or rescue an Unwilling Captive.
RAIDERS RULE 1. All Raiders will be Members of the home of the Unwilling Captive.
RAIDER RULE 6 and DEFENDER RULE 4. The Unwilling Captive shall make the determination if posts are sufficient for the Unwilling Captive to be freed and then escape. A person honorable enough to be an Unwilling Captive should have enough honor to make this determination.
Only one new Rule is added to the Recovery of Unwilling Captives Raid.
"No additional captures may be made by the Raiders during the recovery of an Unwilling Captive. No property of the Defender's home may be stolen, broken or in any other fashion damaged - except as necessary to free the Unwilling Captive."
