Gorean slave positions and commands for position
In a Nutshell
- Many of the positions are not seen on a day to day basis, but it is wise for all slaves to know them for if commanded to take position, and if so, you will be pleasing in the eyes of your Master...*tight hugggs*
It is also good that Masters and Mistresses know these positions so that they will know when they are or are not being performed correctly.
Bara or Belly (command; lit. 'belly'?): at this command, a slavegirl will lie on her stomach, face down to the floor and turned to the left, with her wrists crossed behind her back, ready for binding, and with her ankles crossed, legs straight, ready for binding - this position is used for a variety of reaasons, sometimes as punishment.
Being Hand Fed by a Master/Mistress : to be publicly fed by a Master/Mistress from their own hands denotes the uncollared slave (usually one who is new to the collar) as a slave belonging to the person doing the - Raider of Gor pg 125
Belly Position : the slave lies down on her belly,
face turned to the left resting her chin on the Master's feet; her breasts,
legs, and knees are against the ground, arms are by her side with palms
raised, legs widely spread - usually this position is used before bara
and in a movement such as crawling to your Master/Mistress and then moving
from this position to bara at their feet. the belly position is also commonly
used as a form of punishment or directly after the branding of a slave.
'Belly,' I said to Feiqa. Immediately Feiqa, trembling,
went to her belly on the stained, sooted stones near the fire.

Blanket Position : In this position the kajira
must remain quiet when a covering is laid or thrown over her till such
time as the Master who covered her deems to remove the covering

must remain as she is, silent, until the master, or some free man, lifts

belly thong : a general tie where the hands are tied closely, tightly behind the back - Renegades of Gor - pg 381
bondage knot : a simple looped knot, tied by a slavegirl in her hair on the right side of her face or before her right shoulder; it is a silent plea to her master that she be raped. - Tribesmen of Gor pg 27
Bracelets or Chaining Position : in this position the slave stands gracefully before her Master with her hips slightly turned to one side, her back and shoulders erect, her wrists crossed behind her back, and her head turned to the left in anticipation of having slave bracelets attached to her wrists. slaves are commonly chained to their Master's bed or in a tavern where there are rings in the walls that a Master may use to attach a slave to while He goes about his business. A variation (sometimes called high bracelets) is for the slave to stand with her feet shoulder-width apart, holding her head high with eyes lowered submissively, arms out before her with wrists pressed together....ready for binding

Coommon (Usage) Position : The slave falls to the
floor upon all fours and keeps her head straight her eyes looking forward
with her buttocks thrust upward and her thighs widely spread in preparation
for the sexual use of the Master. (see also slaver's kiss). Optionally
as described below.
He knelt me there. 'Put your head down, to the floor,'
he said. 'Clasp your hands, firmly, behind the back of your neck.' 'Yes,
Master,' I moaned. He was then behind me. He put his hands, under my arms,
on my breasts, sweetly and firmly. Then he moved his bands back, caressing

chaining under the moons : a slave will sometimes
be chained naked under the 3 moons of Gor. It gives her time to reflect
on her actions, gives her time to think. Usually results in the girl to
the 'dance of madness of her need'.

Crawl : The slave goes down on all fours, palms
to elbows flat on floor...buttocks in the air...forehead close but not
touching the floor....crawls to just an inch from Master's feet. Alternatively
the girls slips to her belly, crawls to the master and places her lips

Display or Standing Position : in this position
the slave stands with her feet a bit wider than the width of her shoulders,
she then places her hands behind her neck with her fingers interlaced,
her head is up but her eyes are lowered in submission. from this position
her master may view her beauty or allow others to view her beauty.
Alternatively her arms may be spread above her head and
tied or chained to a wall or crrossbeam, this position lifts the line of
the breasts - Players of Gor pg 137
Gorean Bow : this position is very painful to maintain for longer than 5 minutes. The slave kneels in nadu position and bends her body backwards, her head to the floor, she places her hands by her head and pulls up into a back bend. This exposes a slaves 'heat' and breasts deliciously for her Masters enjoyment.
Gorean Love Bow : this girl is thrown over some object (ie table) on her back, her wrists are bound and then dragged over and above her head, elbows bent and under the object on which she lays, her knees are then bent and her wrists are tied to her ankles. - Marauders of Gor pg 306
Hair Position: the slave stands, her feet flat
on the floor, and bows gracefully at the waist, that her hair might fall
forward for display, or to be shorn, seized, or used for any purpose that
the Master desires. A variation is for the slave to remain in the position
she is currently in but gathers up her hair and offers it to Master.
'I held my left hand open, at my waist. She stiffened,
and looked at me, angrily. I opened and closed my left hand once. I saw
her training in Gorean customs had been thorough. But she never thought
that such a gesture would be used to her. She came beside me, and a bit
behind me, and, crouching, put her head down, deeply. I fastened my hand
in her hair. She winced. Women are helpless in this position.'

Heel Position : Goes to Master and kneels in nadu
behind and to his left, awaits further orders - note: if the Master is
right handed go to his left, if left handed go to his right.
'The Forkbeard turned about and, one arm about Pudding,
the other about Gunnhild, started from the dock. Hilda followed him, to
his left. 'She heels nicely,' said Ottar. The men and bond-maids laughed.
The Forkbeard stopped. Hilda's face burned red with fury, but she kept
her head high. Pet sleen are taught to heel; so, too, sometimes, are bond-maids;
I was familiar with this sort of thing, of course; in the south it was
quite common for slave girls; in various fashions in various cities, to

High-Harness Position : A display position in which
a kneeling, braceleted slave is leashed and commanded to hold her head
very high, exposing her neck.
' 'Lift your head,' he said. 'Higher. Higher!' She looked
up at him, her head far back, the leash on her throat.... 'You need not
now keep your head in high-harness position,' he said to the girl. She
moved her head.

High Lesha Position : Similar to lesha except down from a standing position. The slave stands with her back to her Master, her hands crossed at the small of the back, her feet shoulderwidth apart,. back and shoulders slightly arched, her breasts thrusting forward, head held high and tilted to the left with her eyes lowered in respect and submission.
Karta or Prostrate Position : the slave kneels on the floor, her thighs spread widely to allow her to lay her chest upon the floor, she leans forward placing her breasts and forehead against the floor, she reaches out with her arms fully extended, palms against floor. Ankles may be crossed or uncrossed. Shows utmost respect. requests may be made from this position.
note use of the word 'karta' has yet to be found in the books so it is suspect at present
Kiss of a slave : the kiss that a slave begs to give her mster, usually consists of her being orally pleasing till he instructs her to stop. In public places she will crawl beneath his robes to provide this service. - Players of Gor pg 142
Kneeliing to the Whip or Whipping Position : In
this position the slave kneels in the Nadu position, though with her arms
crossed in front of her. She then leans forward and places her head to
the floor, first sweeping her hair forward over her shoulders in order
that her back might be utterly exposed to the whip. Alternativelt the slave
will kneel, legs close together, her wrists held crossed under her as though
bound, her head down touching the floor, the bow of her back exposed.

the bow of my back. It is the submissive posture of a slave girl who is

: in this position the slave kneels at the Master's feet and leans her
body back sitting upon her heels with her arms extended upward crossed
at the wrists (as if ready for binding) and her head beneath them lowered
in supplication. Also called 'the Position of Female Submission.' . Another
variation has the slave kneeling as above but with her thighs spread as

Larma Slave : when a slavegirl is referred to as a larma, it is suggested that her hard or frigid exterior conceals a rather different sort of interior, one likely to be quite delicious. Leading Position (used as a command): posture of
a slave girl, bending forward at the waist, with her head at a master's
hip, so that he may grab her hair and guide her where he wishes her to
go - the slave stands and moves behind her Master, bending at the waist.
she places her hands behind her and puts the side of her head to her Master's
hip, that he might lead her easily by the hair or collar while walking.
Note if the master is right handed the head will be at the left hip and
if the master is left handed then the head will be at the right hip.
In a moment I had left the building, pulling the captive
behind me, her head down at my waist, in leading position.

the slavegirl stands with her hands behind her back, ready for binding,

her Master, with her chin lifted and head turned to the left, offering
her collar for leashing. Her wrists are behind her back, ready, if needed,
to be snapped into slave bracelets

Lesha, or Binding Position : Lesha translates as
'leash.' in Gorean. In this position, the slave remains either standing
or kneeling, depending upon her current position. She turns and puts her
back to her Master, her wrists are extended behind her, side by side, in
a position to be locked into chained slave bracelets. Her chin is lifted,
her head turned to the left so a leash may be attached to her collar.
'Standard binding position,' he said. I was prone. When
a girl is prone, the standard binding position is to cross the wrists behind
the back and to cross the ankles.'

He then kisses her exposed neck. and drags his tongue across her neck and into the warmth.
Nadu or Pleasure Slave Position (command; lit.
'kneel): at this command, a slavegirl will kneel back on her heels, with
her knees spread wide, back straight (or arched slightly), . with her shoulders
thrown back to better present her breasts, belly in, while her hands lie
on her thighs, hands on thighs with palms up, head up, eyes lowered; ie:
to assume the position of a Pleasure Slave - the first and most often used
of all of the gorean slave positions and one of the first ones a slave
learns. the command gets its name nadu from the gorean word for kneel
`Nadu!' he snapped. She swiftly turned, facing him, and
dropped to her knees. She knelt back on her heels, her back straight, her
hands on her thighs, her head up, her knees wide. It was the position of
the pleasure slave.

to be seen, but still, it is a command which may be given, so has been
included. - Slave to be nestled obediently in the crrook of the left arm
for right handed masters and right arm for left handed masters. The master

Obedience position or Obeisance : the slave moves to the floor, laying upon her stomach, with her face down before the Master; turning her head she places her cheek against his feet, kissing them lightly in a gesture of love and submission.
first position - the slave kneels and sits upon her heels with her back and shoulders straight, her chest out, belly in, and her head up, though she averts her eyes to the floor. Her thighs are open and widely spread. The slave then bends forward and lowers her head to the floor, her arms outstretched, the palms of her hands pressed to the floor.
second position - the slave lowers herself onto her belly on the floor. She then inches forward, remaining low on her belly, and upon reaching the Master's feet, she licks and kisses them. Afterwards she takes the Master's foot and places it gently on her head. She then lowers his foot again to the floor, and kiss it again. She then may inch backwards a bit, still on her belly, humbly.
'There are many ways to perform obeisance. 'I said.
'I am a free woman,' she said, ' I know none of them.'
'I shall instruct you briefly in three,' I said. ' First kneel before me, back on your heels, yes, with your knees wide, wider, your hands on your thighs, your back straight, your breasts out, good, your belly in, good, and now lower your head in deference, in submission.'

Position of Female Suubmission : refer collar position
Prostrate Position : Kneels and touches her forehead
to the floor...stretches her arms out before her with palms face down and
fingers spread.
'I knelt before the guest, putting the palms of my hands
on the floor and my head to the tiles.'

Run command : when this command is given, the slave
runs toward her objective, taking short rapid steps, with her legs almost
straight, her feet hardly leaving the floor. as she moves, her back is
straight, her head is turned to the left, and her arms are at her sides,
with her palms facing outward at a 45 degree angle to her body. upon reaching
her objective she drops gracefully to her knees and typically assumes the
nadu position.

sometimes taught to run, with rapid short steps, her legs almost straight,
her feet scarcely leaving the ground, back straight, head turned to the
left, arms at her ides, palms out a forty-five degree angle, more of a

She-Quuadruped - Training and discipline position/stance
: In this discipline the female is forbidden human speech, she is also
forbidden human posture, in the sense that she is not allowed to rise to
her feet. Her locomotion, unless commanded to roll, or put under similar
commands, suitable for a pet, will be on all fours. Her food will be thrown
to her, or put in pans on the ground. In either case, she must feed without
the use of her hands.

She-Sleen Position : also known as 'assuming the
modality of the she-quadruped' the slave falls to her hands and knees,
her head down on the floor, her hindquarters thrust high for viewing and/or
her Master's pleasure. 'Serving in the modality of the she-quadruped' is
an instruction whereby the slave performs her regular duties upon hands
and knees, without the benefit of the use of her hands. In this mode she
may not rise to her feet and may use only her mouth and teeth to grasp
and manipulate objects.
In this discipline the female is forbidden human speech.
She is also forbidden human posture, in the sense that she is not allowed
to rise to her feet. Her locomotion, unless commanded to roll, or put under
similar commands, suitable for a pet, will be on all fours. Her food will
be thrown to her, or put in pans on the ground. In either case, she must
feed without the use of her hands. She may also, of course, be fed by hand,
but, again, will not be permitted to touch the food with her hands. She
may be taught tricks. Sometimes these are taught as functions of arbitrary
sounds, so that she must learn them as any animal might, without the benefit
of an earlier understanding of the word used. If she is slow to learn,
of course, she is punished, as would be any other animal. When used, too,
it will commonly be in the modality of the she-quadrupled. This discipline
is often used as a punishment, but it may figure in the training of a new
girl. It helps her to understand what she now is, an animal totally subject
to her master.

ground, knees wide spread, the slave is then bent back, the Master maintians
balance by leaving one hand on the thigh and the other on the back of the
collar - used to present a slave for inspection

Slaver's Kiss Position : the slave falls to the floor upon all fours, and lowers her head to the ground, with her buttocks thrust upward and her thighs widely spread, exposing her hindquarters fully in preparation for the caress of the leather against her body. (see also common position)
Slave Lips Command/Position : when this command
is given, the slave turns her head up to the Master, her lips pursed in
a sensual kissing position. The slave remains motionless, her lips thusly
puckered, and may not move until she is granted the kiss of a Master.
Similarly, I was not required to respond to certain sorts
of commands, for example, to make 'slave lips,' pursing my lips for kissing,
or to writhe slowly before my viewers.

Slaver's Caress or Whip Caress Position : The slave
falls to the floor upon all fours, and lowers her head to the ground, with
her buttocks thrust upward and her thighs widely spread, exposing her hindquarters
fully in preparation for the caress of the leather against her body.
Then, before I could realise what he intended, he had
subjected Miss Cardwell to what, among slavers, is known as the Whip Caress.
Ideally it is done, as Kamchak had, unexpectedly, taking the girl unawares.
Elizabeth suddenly cried out throwing her head to one side. I observed
to my amazement the sudden, involuntary, uncontrollable response to the
touch. The Whip Caress is commonly used among Slavers to force a girl to
betray herself.

Slave Rape Position : This is a disciplinary position,
the slave is ordered to lie supine in preparation for usage.
I went to the side of the room and picked up my sea bag.
I threw it to the center of the room. She looked down at it puzzled. It
was of heavy blue material, canvas, and tied with a white rope. 'Lie down
upon it,' I told her, 'on your back, your head to the floor.' She did so.
'No, please,' she said, 'not like this.' It is a common position for a
disciplinary slave rape. In it the woman feels very vulnerable, very helpless.

Stay Command : this informs the slave that they
are to remian where they are and maintain the position they are currently
assuming until moved or given permission to move

Submission Position : girl kneels back on her heels, her arms extended, wrists crossed and her head between her arms. Alternately the slave kneels, bending at the waist, places her cheek to the floor, takes the Master's right foot and places it upon her neck, placing her arms behind her back, crossing them at the wrists.
Suga Position : very similar to karta, the slave kneels on the floor, her thighs spread widely to allow her to lay her chest upon the floor, she leans forward placing her breasts and forehead against the floor, she reaches out with her arms fully extended, palms against floor, wrists crossed. Ankles may be crossed or uncrossed. Lies quietly.
note this position has yet to be found in the books so it is suspect at present
Sula (command; lit. 'back'?): at this command, a slavegirl will lie on her back, her hands at her sides, palms up, and with her legs spread wide
Sula Position : the slave lays on her back, her
hands at her sides, palms facing upward, and her legs spread wide open;
awaiting her Master's pleasure. This position is often used as an appraisal
position
'Sula, Kajira!' said the man. She slid her legs from
under her and lay on her back, her hands at her sides, palms up, legs open.

Sula Alternative Position : this position is almost identical to the sula position, except once the slave has assumed the sula position she slowly lifts her hips up off the floor, as if beckoning her Master with her body, encouraging her sexual use by him.
Thumb Cuffs : the slave is tied by the thumbs with the hands behind the back, virtually any material can be used (including hair), the two large toes are similiarly bound. Mostly used on a slave to make them aware of its existance - cane be used as a restraint or punishment - Renegades of Gor pg 326/327
>Tower Slave Position : A variation of the nadu
position, in which the slave kneels the same way, but with her palms down
and her knees modestly together. this variation is typically reserved for
underage or white-silk slavegirls, or slavegirls who serve their Master
