First an Intro - a Wee Little About Me

Hi! I'm Laurie and I am also known as Turkey Mama (email is turkey.mama@usa.net) and Turkey Grandma (email is turkeygrandma@usa.net). Turkey is a term of endearment from my early married days in 1976! The Mama part came a year later when I was expecting our first child - and the Grandma came along in '97 when my first grandson was born! Each daughter now has a son, so I have two grandsons and am loving it!

Anyway, I am a Heartland CoLiaison and an Assistant Dean at Web Tech U. If you need help creating your page, give me a jingle! I can't make it for you, but I can point you to a few helpful sites and give you a few pointers. And, I always have time to give an opinion! *g*

I've have been helping steaders since August 98, am loving it and have alot to learn. I think August 26, 1998 was when I got my first assignment in Heartland. I began in the Enchanted Forest late in October 1998. I became a CoLiaison in March 1999. I've only been on the internet since April 22, 1998 and a neighbor in Heartland Park since May 18th, 1998.

My grandsons each have their own pages that I manage for them (until their mothers take over for me) in the Enchanted Forest. I'm really "green" on the internet and am willing to lean on lots of my friends for tons of help! I also have a page for kids in the EnchantedForest and a memorial page in Pentagon.

I began teaching HTML classes for Heartland University in March 1999 (now known as Web Tech University, as of May 1999) and am having a great time. Come join us and learn how simple and logical HTML can be. The classes are taken at the student's pace and there is no charge! Can't beat that!!! And, HTML may sound difficult, but it's a cinch after these classes. Each graphic is a link to either the sender's home page or the University.

If you are new to GeoCites and want to start your own site, but are feeling overwhelmed, this page will help you TONS!  I have put together some links that I've used, in the order my personal experience dictated to me way back in 1998!  Be sure to sign all the guestbooks of any site you visit, so people get the feedback they need to continue their efforts, please.

And, I thought I'd share a few of my credentials with you. I have nowhere else to display them except in my "cyber" home. şÜş Sorry they take so long to load...
