The Missing Lynx
      My wife and I had a booked and confirmed seat on Lynx Air from Grand Turk to Ft. Lauderdale for a 1:00pm flight (the only flight of the day) on Friday, January 7th. We flew over from Salt Cay at 6:30am (the only connection) and proceeded to cool our heels on the airport bench and wait for the connecting flight. At noon the counter opens up and we checked in. 1:00 comes and goes, no plane. We are told that it is on its way. 2:00, 3:00 go by, plane is "on its way." 4:00, 5:00, we are told the plane is 'on its way' but the plane will stay overnight and not fly out until the next day. Had Lynx been honest with us we could have flown over to Provo and caught the afternoon American flight. We eventually made it home - a lot poorer after paying charges for changing all the flights we had missed the day before -, but it taught me never to fly Lynx again. Also, don't deal with the Grand Turks airport personnel. Invest the money in a phone call and try to contact the airline directly.
