Photography has been my hobby since I was very young. And since the Atlanta Olympics I'm very interested in gymnastics too. This sport is excellent for wonderful pics so I started taking photos at gym meets from out the stands. The pics however, were very far and you couldn't see which gymnast was on it so in 2000 I bought a brand new camera with large zoomlens and that's when it started to be fun.
I'm not a professional, but I intend to become one in the future. For some meets I have a press pass, for some (like Worlds or really big competitions) I don't so I have to get back in the stands.
Still I don't have all the things I need to make the really good pics (like you see in IG). Those lenses are really expensive and I think it'll be a couple of years before I can afford to buy one (I'm a poor student you know :) ). Nevertheless my pics are getting better and better and I hope to improve even more in the years to come.
