| I didn't know that a corporation is considered a legal person with all the rights that a human being has. I didn't know that human genes, along with other genetically - engineered life forms (i.e. bacteria, animals, and in the future, human beings?) can be patented and owned by corporations. I didn't know that a corporation can just go to another country and buy up (privatize) all the rights to the water sources, even the rain falling on that country. The Corporation is a documentary by March Achbar and Jennifer Abbott, about the global conglomerates. Please rent and watch this very illuminating, at times very funny, film. 2 hr. 25 min. 2004. |
