the fly and she (Ta. Ky' wrote this in the re-education camp he was imprisioned from 1975 to 1978) Flies ascended from the shit hole Their buzzing reminded him of the lapping waves Their brown eyes the Western hair Their formation on the barbed wires the necklace that he gave her on their wedding day -- Or perhaps the music notes on uneven lines of barbed wires How could she sing with those? The sparrows returned, but not to announce Spring 'Cause he knew that Spring had died They came back for the flies on the barbed wires And as the black pearls broke apart, He whispered her name. |

Oh Holy Night God, all my life I've been lost wandering far from Heaven This mortal shell with no regrets still yearns for a bit of Compassion. I'm looking up: a sky of jewels Where's Home? the road has narrowed and here on board the ship to Hell I hear echoes of my own footsteps. My debts to Earth I'll soon repay laughing/crying -- life's no big deal! I hear the bells beckon the night to cover up this city of sorrows. Oh Holy Night, we're on our knees begging Lord, have pity on us! please End our sufferings, evils of war for corpses upon corpses have blocked the way home. Our Savior, whose love is boundless who lived among us as our shepherd Please save us all, the ignorant souls laughing/crying -- our sanity gone. |
