FISHING REPORT

Get that boat ready. It's time for fishing. The Lakes are unfrozen and fishing is good. Excellent reports of good size crappie and sunfish are coming in. Shoreline and dock fishing has been producing many fish, morning and evening are the best times. We are also seeing the boats come out on many of the area lakes.
Crappie minnows, leeches and wax worms with the right color jig have produced good results.

The walleye regulations for Mille Lacs are the same as last year: starting May 12th thru July 14th put back all walleyes between 20" and 28" inches. July 15th thru Nov 30th release all walleye 22." through 28." Dec. 1st -Feb.24th Release immediatly all walleye 20" through 28" The limit is 4 and only one can be kept over 28 inches.
AREA LAKES:
Many area lakes are yielding crappie and sunfish.
