With the first book very disappointed in the end and the whole book was a fiasco in my opinion, hate the hero and the girl was worst, not to mention the bad twin sister. The Twins were a huge disappointment as well, the whole book was ridiculous. A shame since Douglas and Alex are my favorite couple and book from The Brides series. I hate to admit it but Lindsey new books are not for me, she’s one my favorites authors with her Malory series, I fear what she done to Jeremy’s book, which I haven’t read yet, although I have a copy of it in my PC (ebook) a friend gave me. Another one will have to be “Cattleman’s Pride” by Diana Palmer I love her older books but this one made me want to just rip the book apart, the hero was so annoying and wrong and she just let him get away, not groveling whatsoever from his part. And you all know how I love a good groveling LOL Honorary mentions will have to be Suzanne Enoch ‘England’s Perfect Hero” I’ve been waiting for that book since “London’s Perfect Scoundrel”, love Saint by the way, but Lucy just was plain bland, the hero I like more. I did like the interaction between characters from the 2 previous books. Another honorary mention is “When He Was Wicked” by Julia Quinn, I mention this before, Michael was great and a sweet but Francesca compare to her Bridgerton siblings just didn’t do it for me, I found her annoying and stupid. But I guess you can’t have all siblings or books remarkable that would be annoying as hell LOL I do hope Hyacinth book would be a lot better than this one. I didn’t read many books publish in 2004 that I can recall but one of the best publish in 2004 for me, was Gaelen Foley “Devil Takes a Bride” love the hero and Lissie was very nice and not such a pushover as in the previous books from the series. Others great books were Feehan paranormal new series and Kenyon Hunter series. Best new discoveries were Nonnie St. George, Susan Andersen, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Nora Roberts and Suzanne Brockmann. I’m now hook into all their series LOL Others were Meg Cabot (aka Meggin Cabot) with her Princess series and The Boy series was very good too. The only Beverly Barton romance suspense book I read, I like a lot. Still waiting to read most of the other books by these authors. |
