Lina's Birthday!
Chapter 4: Full of Games
*SIGH* "That was the best dinner I ever had in my life!" admitted Gourry.
"You can say that again!" agreed Lina.
"That was the best dinner I ever had in my life!"
*THUD* Lina just smacked Gourry on the head. "I wasn't serious."
  "Oh...."
Xelloss drank the last bit of wine in his cup, and grinned. "Shall we move on to the next room?"
"And what's in there? To tell you the truth, if it's more food, I think I'll be sick..." The sorceress patted her stomach as Amelia turned a shade greener.
"Please excuse me... I think that Dragon Slave wine is getting to me now...."
"Oh dear! Come on now Amelia. I'll help you get better in the bathroom." said the caring Filia. She helped the princess up, and slowly walked towards the exit.
As soon as they turned the corner, Zel's ears could hear Amelia get pretty sick....
*Bleh.....*
"I think we had enough food for now...." he shrugged.
"Yeah. I want some presents, now!" cheered Lina.
"Hey!!! Not so fast! There's still alot more to be done! Lots of games, a movie... drinks...." Xelloss counted off his fingers, even though nobody was paying any attention to him.
"Yeah Lina. Let's go into the game room now!" smiled Gourry. He clapped his hands, and in a flash, a dozen or more waiters ran in, and ran out, with all the dirty, and empty dishes.
The only thing heard, was Xelloss, still counting off fingers. "Shoot.... I lost count."
Lina got up, and walked with the excited Gourry, and not so excited Zelgadiss into the next room.
Xelloss... still counting... finally realized he was alone.
"Hey! Aren't you guys listening to me?" he whined. He sat alone... at the empy table, with a sad, and lonely face on.
"Hmmm... I wonder how Ms. Filia, and Ms. Amelia are doing....?" He disappeared to go figure out. ^_^

Filia was sitting on the bathroom counter, with Amelia's pretty dress in her arms. Amelia was changing in one of the stalls.
"Are you okay, Amelia? Do you want to go home?" asked the concerned dragon-girl.
"Oh! Don't be silly, Ms. Filia. I'll be fine if I stay! I just got a little woozy after that blue cheese cake mixed with olives... and Dragon Slave wine."
Filia's eyes widened, and she nodded with understanding.
  "Alright. I'm glad you're staying."
After a pause of only hearing Amelia changing, she decided to ask a question.
"Ms. Filia.... do you mind if I ask you a personal question?"
"Of course not! Go ahead." she smiled.
  "Who do you like?"
  Filia quickly blushed, and hesitated.
"Why don't we save that for the games, ne?" said the trickster, appearing in the girls bathroom.
"Xelloss! What are you doing in here?!?!" screeched Amelia. She rushed changing into her pajamas, and ran out only to see Filia and Xelloss glaring at eachother.
"ARrrg....!" Filia quickly stormed out of the room, and Xelloss just shrugged and followed, leaving a very very confused Amelia behind.

"Ah!! This couch is so comfortable!" Lina sighed, and relaxed. She sat on a long, soft couch, covered with a nice layer of forest green leather. Very nice.
"Don't get too comfortable." mumbled Zelgadiss while sitting on another single-leathered chair.
"Look who's talkling!" she scolded as Zel sighed with happiness.
"Nice to see you happy, Zel!" Gourry smiled, sitting next to Lina.
  "Yeah..." he agreed suspiciously.
A sudden bang made the three shocked, revealing the trickster who had just been pushed into the door.
  "Ouch..." twitched Gourry.
  "That's gotta hurt..." finished Lina.
Feeling fried, Xelloss fell to the floor, and started to whine. "Filia-san...! I didn't
do anything!"
"Hmph! I know. That's a warning so you don't even try!" she growled.
"Come on..." he argued from on the floor. Filia looked scary glaring down at him...
Amelia popped out from behind her dragon-friend, and slightly blushed. "Heheh... Guys.. Don't ruin Lina's party... okay?"
"Yeah guys!" agreed Lina, standing up. She almost fell from her high heels, but caught herself before anyone noticed. "Why don't we play some games?"
At the sound of that sentance, Xelloss' face brightened frightfully. He jumped up pushing Filia and Amelia to the side, and ran through to get wine bottles.
  "What's with him?" Asked Gourry.
Zelgadiss' face now went extremely suspicious. He had a feeling these games were... different.
"He scares me." admitted Amelia, as she walked over to another chair beside Zelgadiss.
A flash was heard from behind her, and she quickly turned around. Filia was gone, and another flash was heard from beside Zelgadiss. Filia returned, and stole poor Amelia's chair.
  "Ehhhhh...? Filia-san!"
  "Too slow..." chuckled Filia.
Amelia sat on the other side of Zelgadiss on the floor, and mumbled, "Sometimes I think she spends too much time with Xelloss-san."
Zelgadiss' ears twitched, and leaned over to speak quietly saying, "I hope she's not, because that would be hell."
Amelia blushed at how close he was, and nodded nervously with a smile.
"Hey! Xelloss! Where are you?!" hollered Lina. "Man...! What's that trickster up to?!" she cursed.
"I'm sure he'll come around." sighed Gourry, as he made himself more comfortable.
"Hey!! Get off my side of the couch!"
"Your side?! You have 3/4 of it!
You're the one on my side!"
"Oh yeah, Gourry. Like a girl would only take half!" Lina whipped his pants with her hand, and smiled at his yelp in pain.
"What was that for?! Can't a guy stand up for himself?!"
"Not to Lina." answered Zelgadiss in a low voice. His arms were crossed, and his eyes were closed. Well, he didn't exactly want to witness more stupidity from those two.
"Here here!" laughed Xelloss, as he appeared running into the room.
"What took you so long?" asked Filia not try to look at the monster.
"Why? Did ya miss me?" he replied with a smile. "Don't worry. I wont be leaving for a
long time."
"I regret asking..." sighed the dragon.
"Xelloss-san...? Are you going to drink all those wine bottles yourself? What are they for?"
  This caught everyone's attention.
"Thank you for noticing, Amelia-san. As you can see, I have 1 empty bottle." Struggling to pick the empty one without dropping them, he used his teeth to pick it out. "Thwish Votles iz four va gaame... vaned thwish iz four--"
  Everyone watched with bored eyes.
"Xelloss..." interrupted Gourry. "I don't think I'm the only one that doesn't understand."
Chuckling with excitement, Xelloss nodded and leaned down to drop four bottles.
"Sorry." he apologized, while taking the empty bottle out of his mouth. "This bottle is for the game, and these full bottles..." he counted them with his finger, and pulled another two out under his cape. "These full bottles are for drinking. As you can see, there's six. One for each of us."
Amelia immediately refused. "I really don't think I should drink after what I just experienced..." she whispered.
"Hmmm... Everyone else must drink in order to play.... so I guess you can't play, Amelia-san..." Xelloss sighed in disappointment.
"Why do we need to drink to play? You think we'd refuse to something?" asked Zelgadiss with his full attention.
"Yeah... what are you up to, Xelloss?"
Xelloss laughed again. "It's a drinking game you guys. Whoever drinks the most wins???" he laughed.
Gourry joined in the laughing. "Gosh, Lina. I even knew that! Its not like Xelloss wants to poison us or anything!"
Xelloss looked to the side as that comment ran out of Gourry's mouth.
"I don't think I'll play either." Filia remarked with a sigh. "Games aren't too well played on my part. Especially if it involves drinking."
"Alright Filia. I can understand if you're afraid of losing to a monster." Xelloss grinned, and took away Amelia's and Filia's share of wine.
The Dragon-girl gritted her teeth in anger. "Don't go there, Xelloss." she cursed.
"No really, Filia. I think you can beat me." admitted the monster.
"Whoa whoa whoa." interrupted Lina. "I think we can make this more interesting...." The look in her eye made everyone feel somewhat smaller.
"Hey Lina, can I tell them what I would do?" asked Gourry.
"Sure, Gourry. Go ahead." nodded the sorceress.
"Okay. If Filia wins, Xelloss has to do one thing she wants, and if
Xelloss wins, Filia has to do something he wants. Sound good?"
"I'll beat you Xelloss." growled Filia, holding out her hand for a shake.
"You're on." xelloss smirked, grabbing it.
Lina and Gourry watched them shake hands, and both looked at eachother with a satisfied look on their faces.
"On one condition." Xelloss stood up. "You four do the same thing."
  "What?!" shrieked Amelia.
"I'd rather not participate." said a slightly disapproving Zelgadiss.
"We'll do it, if Zelgadiss and Amelia does it." nodded Lina, sure that Amelia wouldn't agree.
Filia sat on the floor with a blue aura around her. "Amelia..." she asked coldly.
Shivers went down the princess' spine. "Y-yes... Filia-san?"
The dragon suddenly jumped up and grabbed the sitting Amelia's shirt. "If you don't agree to this then I'll have to do something for Xelloss! PLEASE--"
"What do you mean?" asked Lina.
"They already shook on it." answered Zelgadiss. "So if Amelia disagrees, then Xelloss wins, I guess." he shrugged.
"Hmmm... I never knew you could do that..." thought Gourry.
"Well! It's either yes or no! What'll it be, princess?" asked the madly grinning Xelloss.
Amelia gulped, and sweat-dropped. "With that look in your eye, there's no way I'll let you win Filia so easily." she concluded.
Filia cheered and hugged Amelia tightly.
*CHOKE* "F-Filia....! You're.. You're choking me....!" she gasped.
Filia jumped back and scratched the back of her head. "Oh...! hehe... Sorry, Amelia.... Hehe...."
"I really don't want to drink now though..." complained Lina. "Can't we do it in an hour or two? I just ate!"
"She does have a point. I wouldn't be able to drink much right after I eat." agreed Gourry, ofcourse.
"Just as long as we still do it! In TWO HOURS!" ordered Xelloss.
"So what are we going to do for two hours?" asked Filia.
"We can play another game." suggested Gourry.
  "Nah. Not yet." disagreed Lina.
"Why not? It's only Seven at night...! And dancing at ten would be preferred, I'd say. I would also suggest a movie, but.... we can watch that right before we go to bed. After all.. this is a sleep-over, right?" asked Xelloss.
  Everyone slightly nodded.
"I think I'll die before I sleep in the same room as Xelloss." said Filia shaking her head.
"Come on Filia! Lighten up!" comforted Amelia. "Let's worry about that later. Now, we should think of a time-consumind game...."
  "Everybody think." ordered Lina.
After moments, er... minutes.. and some more minutes... about seven... Lina made a loud groan. "It's been seven minutes....! This is so boring!!!
Xelloss' eyes opened wide with shock.
"I can't believe I didn't think of this before!!! SEVEN IN HEAVEN!!!!" he cheered.
  "Seven in what?!" asked Zelgadiss.
"I'll explain." stood Amelia, shocking everyone; even Xelloss.
"You take a hat, and put everyone's name on a piece of paper, and into the hat. Any two people each pick out only one name. The name's they pick out would be the two people who have to spend seven minutes, alone, in a dark closet."
"What do they have to do in the closet?" asked the curious Gourry. The blushing Lina beside him already knew, and so did everyone else
but Gourry.
"Anything from holding hands to...." her face was red, and wished she hadn't volunteered. then again, if she let Xelloss do the explaining, he might have added things you
have to do int the closet, and by the look on his face, that's exactly what he had in mind.
"That's pretty much it." he shrugged. "Shall we get started?" he clapped his hands waking everyone up from their thoughts, and pulled a hat out from his cape, along with paper and a pen. "Wanna help, Gourry?" he said holding out the hat.
"Sure!" he smiled. "How about Lina picks the first two people? After all, it
is her birthday." smiled Xelloss.
"Sounds fair." sighed Zelgadiss, quite uncomfortable.
Amelia and Filia didn't seem to feel too well either.
For Filia; She'd die if Xelloss' name was with her.
For Amelia; she'd faint if she was with Zelgadiss. That would be too much of a coincidence!
How on earth is Seven in Heaven fair, anyways?
"It's just a game.." Amelia thought out loud.
Zelgadiss nodded in agreement, but gulped anyways. Being in a closet alone with
any girl would make him uncomfortable.
Lina wasn't too upset, because any guy in this room would think twice before getting near her.
Xelloss would love any girl to get near him, the fruit that he is...
And Gourry? He still doesn't know what you have to do once inside the dark closet.
"Here are the names!" smiled Xelloss.
Gourry held up the hat as Xelloss dropped in the six names.
"Thank you Xelloss." he smiled. "Lina?"
She winked, and picked up two names from the hat. "
I'll look at them!" she growled as Xelloss tried leaning over her shoulder.
Everyone, even Zelgadiss crowded around her curiously.
Lina slowly unfolded the neat paper, and read the name in her head. She looked up at Zelgadiss, who blushed madly.
Hearts neating, Lina carefully opened the next piece of paper.
Her eyes widened in shock. "EHHHHH?????!!!!!????"
Before Lina got a chance to rip the paper into millions of pieces, Gourry and Xelloss both grabbed it out of her reach.
"Ah! That's why you wanted to rip it!" chuckled Xelloss, as he looked up to Zelgadiss.
Amelia looked shocked, and like she was about to cry.
Zel looked like a red tomato...
"What? What's going on?" asked the puzzled Filia.
"Well... it looks like Miss Lina will be going in a closet with Zelgadiss here! Haha!" laughed the trickster.
  Zelgadiss and Lina??!!?? What next?!
