O.K., to make a GIF where only one part moves, such as the one above where the crystal is shining, you need to have an emulator, or pictures that make a moving picture ((i.e. a flip book!))
1.) The emulator that I use ZSNES989 has a function that lets you save the screen. Hit F1, and it's the first option. Turn off everything except the sprites, using the number keys, and do the attack that you want, and use the F1 option to save the frames. Use it a lot, and you'll have BMPs, or GIFs, or JPEGs from 0 to hoever many others you saved. Open up your basic paint program, and move to step 2
2.) Now, load in the picture you want, in my case, the pic. of Sailor Moon with her head back. Put it up in the left hand corner, or wherever, that doesn't really matter, but you must make sure that all the pictures you load in are lined up or it'll end up looking like this: |

Notice how at one point the original background comes back? That's because this GIF is transparent, you need to put a color in the background that isn't anywhere on the character. Sailor Moon's hair is this kinda color unless I want her hair transparent, the background should be a bright pink, she has no pink on her, so nothing will become transparent. But Jupiter has that color pink, so when I load it into the GIF animator ((you can get one HERE)) and make the transparency color that kind of pink, then her bows will show up transparent. CONCLUSION:: Always make the BG color a color that isn't on the character unless you WANT that color transparent. |

Moving right along. Now after you load the picture you want into the paint program, save it as image0, and load in the next one, and it should have a movement in it, so the image lookse like it's moving. IN this case the only thing moving is the gleam of the Silver Crystal. NOW In this case, where only part of the GIF is moving, you have to make sure the different gleams are in a relativly similar position, so it doesn't look too odd. once you are finished with picture 2, save it as image01, and continue these steps until the GIF is done. |

Here is the part that isn't going to move!
NOTE:: If you want it transparent, make the BG a color that isn't in this, or any other part of the GIF. NOw take the shine, and place it over the crystal, or take the picture of Sailor Moon, with the shine already there, and place it DIRECTLY over the other Sailor Moon, mathcing the feet, and arms, etc.Now load the pictures you want into the GIF animator, select the speed, and transparent color(if any) and you have a GIF! If you want, add the other part of the gleam, and it will be even more animated!
