THAMES VALLEY CENTRAL MODULAR RAILROAD CLUB Est. 1965 London, Ont Located inThorndale, Ont. |
Our Club was formed in 1965 by a group of members from the "East London Short Lines." The "ELSL" was getting to large and some of the members broke away to form a new Club in London. The Club they formed was the Thames Valley Central RR, better known as the "TVC". Nicknamed "{The Muddy River Line"}. Later to be named the "Thames Valley Central Modular RR". We have a layout that is mobile, moving from our Club house in Thorndale, Ont. to many malls and railroad oriented shows and displays in the London & surronding area. The layout itself is 12' x 45' in length. There is over 1200' of trackage & 75 turnouts. The trains travel through many different areas on the layout, from Adilliville { a small town} to a logging section, seaport ferry terminal, oil loading facilities and much more. Our members range in all ages form 18 to 7?. The membership is a great cross section of trades & professions along with many varied talents & abilities. |
