After five hours in a bus to Berlin on the Autobahn, we arrived in one of the great cities in the world. The first order of business was to get an overall feel for the city with a bus tour. While somewhat informative, it lasted three tedious hours and had many of us climbing the walls of the bus. Those of us with ADD had an even harder time. Here, we were able to mercifully get out and take a shot in front of the world famous Brandenburg Gate. | Berlin is so huge that it is inconceivable that one could see the city in one day, yet our tour guide tried just that. Here, the beautiful "Berliner Dom." |

As soon as we were released from "Tour Bus Hell," the Germans and Americans raced to the subway to really experience the city by foot and by rail. First destination: Lunch at Planet Hollywood at the Potsdamer Platz. | ...and it tasted SOOOO good!! For some of us, hamburgers for the first time in a month and....get ready for this....free refills on your cokes!! Unheard of in Germany!!!! | ![]() |

After lunch it was back on the track to the biggest shopping street in all of Germany, the Kurfürstendamm. A short wait for the U-Bahn and we were off! | Can you guess whose interlaced hands these are??? I'm not telling but you'll find out soon enough. And these aren't the only ones!! |
